Closing weekend was a huge success for SUNFLOWER THE MUSICAL at the Scottish Rite Theater. Sold out shows! Standing ovations! Thank you so much to everyone who helped it happen and we hope you all got to come out and enjoy the show. We are, of course, still working for next steps but for right now we just wanted to say thank you.

We are thrilled to announce that we will be co-producing Sunflower’s debut full production with Scottish Rite Theater in Austin, TX this summer!
The show will run 4 consecutive weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun) from July 22 through August 14th. We are also thrilled to announce that talented musician and actor Guy Forsyth will be playing the role of Vincent Van Gogh!

Exciting news! Excerpts from our musical Sunflower will debuted online on Tuesday, December 15 as part of Lockdown Live, series 2 as a fundraiser for Astrom Club-an organization supporting LGBTQ and diverse communities. It is a concert of musical excerpts from original shows It will be aired on Instagram and YouTube at 6pm GMT (which is 12pm EST, 11am Central, and 9am west coast time. It is free to view!
Please tune in, and watch the show! It will be great exposure for Sunflower, and great to find out about other shows celebrating diversity!

Our first staged reading on February 2, 2020 was a tremendous success! Thank you to all cast and crew, particularly Guy Forsyth (Vincent) and Lucky Cantu (Amalie). Videos soon to follow!
A professional staged reading of SUNFLOWER will be held on Feb 2, 2020, 6:30 pm at Zach Scott’s Kleberg Theater in Austin, TX. Jerry Blake of Cedar Park Theater will be directing. The reading will feature Guy Forsyth as Vincent and Lucky Cantu as Amalie, both of whom sang on our recorded album. More info to follow. The reading is free and open to all, and we will have a short session following the reading for questions and feedback. We hope to see you there!
Recently, we were fortunate enough to work with noted Austin musician Guy Forsyth in the studio, who recorded the parts of Vincent over Laura’s vocals! Working with Guy was wonderful, and his voice was perfect for the part of Vincent.
Also, Premila is now working with a small group of 5th to 8th graders who will be recording the songs sung by the young artist chorus. They soon will be recording in a studio up in DC. Check out a short clip of one of their rehearsals:
